It’s time for the Monday Night at the Vertical City Cantina: Episode 8 Recap.
Last Monday Night, we embarked on a journey towards Level 55 with a Republic Smuggler. While we didn’t achieve this goal, we did get a chance to complete a Red Reaper flashpoint. It had been a long time since I’d taken part in this Flashpoint, and to be honest I was quite rusty. Watch the video to get an idea how the mission goes down.
Now I’ve not leveled a Smuggler to level cap before, this is a new experience for me. But here’s a few things I’ve come to realize about them.
- These guys can lay down some serious DPS, especially once they acquire the XS Freighter Flyby ability. There’s is word that this ability is getting a Nerf in the next major publish, and after seeing how much damage it puts out, I can’t blame them.
- They can make Ranged DPS fun, their rotation (I’m Sharpshooter Spec) is quite easy, and deals a good bit of damage. You have to be careful of energy management, but other than that you can have a blast.
- In Cut Scenes, they live up to the reputation. If you like snarky remarks a Smugglar doesn’t disappoint.
Now that this character is level 54, it’s time to think about the future. I quite possibly will focus on getting the Bounty Hunter up to Max Level, they seem to be natural enemies, though the Imperial Agent is the mirrored advanced class.
