APB: Reloaded Coming to Console!

Grand Theft Auto V watch your back! APB: Reloaded is making it’s way onto current gen consoles as a free to play title.

Pesky alarms.

Released in December of 2011 by now closed studio Realtime Worlds, APB was then acquired by Reloaded studios and rebranded and released. The title puts players in a near future city called San Paro, in which you may join one of two factions, the Enforcers, carrying out vigilante justice, or the Criminals, wreaking havoc across the city. Constant PVP gameplay between factions turns missions into massive brawls with up to 50 vs 50 combat.

Like other free to play titles, an a la carte micro transaction system will be implemented in which players can either earn in game gear, clothing, vehicles and other customizations or pay real world money for them. The game will be published by the studio that brought you Saints Row and Dead Island, Deep Silver.

incredibly in depth character, clothing, and vehicle customization and even some features that the latest GTA title does not have. Some of these features include the ability to play your own music in your vehicle, create in game content such as tattoo designs, car vinyls, clothing and a few other ideas that were really before their time. If this console port is not simply that, if it is re-tooled and redesigned for console, it has incredible potential to replace other popular sandbox titles currently available to players. The release is scheduled for Q2 of 2015, and will be a free to play title not requiring PS Plus subscription for Playstation 4, but will require Xbox Live for Xbox One users.

This could spark some competition for GTA Online, but we won’t know until it’s release.
