Bethesda Announces First E3 Conference Ever

Bethesda Softworks has announced that they will be hosting their first ever E3 press conference at this year’s event. While it is unknown what they will be discussing at the conference the June 14th date provides ample time for speculation. Whatever the topic of the conference it is sure to be big given that is the first time the company has seen hosting a conference at E3 as worth it.

Given how Skyrim was released more recently than Fallout 3 and that The Elder Scrolls Online is only now nearing a year old, my take on the matter is that Bethesda will either be discussing a currently unannounced project, or the greatly anticipated Fallout 4.  Though I suppose it is possible they have a number of smaller profile games that they want to discuss and decided to join many other major publishers in holding large conferences at the event I think Fallout 4 is most likely given the recent activity in the rumor mills.

I suppose given that the announcement was made via a blog post that totaled less than a hundred words it is difficult to read too much into it, but despite that I can’t help but get my hopes up that something big will come of it.
