Many people in America have just recently come across a 1990s television show known to many people here in the United Kingdom called “Absolutely Fabulous” (and most likely watched) thanks to BBC America; so for many Americans this will feel like it was just yesterday while others living in the United Kingdom will know that yes, two decades have gone by since the show was hugely popular.
On that note, Jennifer Saunders, one of the two original creators of Absolutely Fabulous has told the world that after two decades of toiling, she has written the movie for this hilarious television show! She said, “I’ve finished the first draft” she told the Sunday People. “I’m feeling euphoric. My proper New Year’s resolution [of 2015] is to do the film, otherwise it’ll be a pointless year of procrastination“.
It’s been said that Jennifer Saunders started writing the script around two decades ago and it’s currently titled, “Edina and Patsy” (after the two main character’s names) and if it goes ahead, then both Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley will be reprising their roles and also bringing June Whitfield and Julia Sawalha back with them.
Will 2015 be Absolutely Fabulous’s year? We shall see darlings.
