Monday Night at the Vertical City Cantina: Episode 4 Recap.
This past Monday, we continued on with our Imperial Sniper. Having completed his tasks on Hutta, he is instructed to report to “Keeper”, on the Sith Capital of Dromund Kaas. Before he gets there though, we take a moment to check out the first flash point (4 man raid) that is available to players: The Black Talon. I used the Group finder to get paired randomly with a group of other low level characters in order to complete this flash point, doing this allowed me to not only complete the “Black Talon” mission, but the “Introduction to Group Finder” mission you can pick up on Imperial Fleet.
This flash point is pretty straight forward, and designed for 2 players to complete, in story mode, you can repeat this at level 50 but it is much harder. You can check out each of the boss fights by checking out the highlights in the video. And sorry about the Heavy Breathing, I had my mic too close and it’s a bit sensitive. Another thing to keep in mind once you get around level 20 is you’ll be able to repeat his flash point solo, the modifiable gear it drops is worth it for example simply because it will be relatively free. Here’s a list of what can drop from this flash point and from what boss. Modifiable gear with be highlighted Orange.

As you can see every class, can obtain a Weapon, an offhand, and a piece of chest armor that can be upgraded and used through out the rest of the game if you wish. This alone makes this flash point well worth the time invested to run through it at a higher level a few times. Especially useful are the offhand pieces such as the vibro-knife, shield generators, power generator, and focus as they all have a color crystal slot, and if you have any color crystals in collections you can effectively wind up with +82 (2x +41) to a single stat. For Endurance for example this equates to +820 health. Of course RNG doesn’t always favor us, but when it doesn’t the run through can be an excellent source of easy credits.
After completing the flash point, we continue on to the Imperial Capital, there I run through a few of the “Side Missions” available once you land, and point out one of the Datacrons available for pick up on this planet. I also want to re-stress that there is tons of free or very easy XP available once you land so don’t pass it up, especially if you are level 9 and close to 10 as it can give you enough to be able to pick up your advanced class.
I finish off heading to the starting point of my first class mission, I stopped here due to time constraints. Next week I’ll be picking back up with the Trooper as he attempts to finish he missions on Ord Mantell, and hopefully start out for Coruscant. With luck we’ll have time to see the counterpart to Black Talon which is the Esseles.
Until Next week, I wish you all the best of luck and May the Force be with you, always.
