Defense Grid was a huge success when it launched in 2008. It made tower defense games on PC all the more viable and ushered in a wide range of similar titles, few of which met the high standard set by the game. Now Hidden Path and 505 Games (known for Sniper Elite V2, PAYDAY 2, Terraria and Sniper Elite 3) are bringing the sequel to PC on September 23rd.
Sold through Steam, as most PC titles are these days, you can currently get 10% off if you pre-order here. Online multiplayer including PvP and co-op will add replay-ability to the game according to the company.
In addition, DG Architect is included in this release which is a level creation tool set connected to Steam Workshop which will enable players to create endless levels and share them with the community. The real kicker is that if the map is selected, it will be given the green light to start selling it. Map makers, get ready!
