After a few holiday weeks off, last night continued our weekly Firefall crawl at The Noobist. Once again, Kream and others from the Firefall community site, FFANZ, were willing to take me on another tour of events that are hard for the solo player. This time, we would also take GhostHeretic, a very young Snow Flake (noob), as Ingmeon referred to in chat. His first time playing Firefall in all white stock gear would be a true test of FFANZ’ abilities and his will to survive.
During our tour, Kream was able to share some updates to look forward to in Firefall this year. Last week, FadedPez revealed a few improvements planned for crafting and the game UI as well the concept of Perks being added to gameplay. We expect members of the Firefall team to expand on that and other milestone goals in their Developers Round Table discussion on Thursday, January 9, 2014 on their Twitch channel: R5Studios.
After a round at Cliffs Edge, to protect the SIN Tower from Chosen, we were assured we had enough in our group to travel to Sargasso Sea to defend the Mag Lift generators and after a successful stand, decided to move on to the more advanced Arcport Achor event in Antarctica. I want to share a special thanks to Dotty and Rhynimy from A.S.F. for having my back and keeping me alive during our adventures. All three of these events are areas I have been unable to travel to, so the tutorial style way Kream led the group on what to expect is a huge bonus for those like me. I encourage you to watch our time in Firefall with this Melding and News video for fun information on what you can do in Firefall and what we expect with milestones starting in the early part of this year.
