Should Halo: The Master Chief Collection Have Been Delayed?

Halo: The Master Chief Collection was released on 11/11/2014. It goes without saying that most releases have some issues at launch. The Master Chief Collection however is something else. There have been countless bugs surfaced in the two days it has been available sparking a comment from a 343 executive producer Dan Ayoub.

“From everyone at 343 Industries, we are truly sorry and feel your frustration. You deserve better and we are working day and night to find solutions as quickly as possible, with our first priority focused on matchmaking improvements.”

Personally, I’ve experienced bugs in multiplayer which have caused me to take a minimum of ten minutes to find a match. The match would then have frequent disconnects and start with unbalanced teams. In the campaign for Halo CE: Anniversary everything went smoothly until mission 7. At this point it decided it would no longer save my progress or unlock any achievements (something I wouldn’t find out until I finished the game.

After seeing the mega thread on Reddit http://bit.ly/1wqSwTU It seems like I’ve got off with a rather low amount. The question I want to ask is should it have been delayed? I think it should of. The gameplay is near perfect there is no denying that. All of these issues will be ironed out and I think that 343 could of used a few extra weeks to fix them instead of doing it now.

Yesterday (12-11-2014) 343 updated their servers in an attempt to fix matchmaking. I did find more players and quicker matches however, It’s a long way from being totally fixed.

How has The Master Chief Collection been for you? Did it warrant a delay? Let us know below.
