Microsoft had touted Kinect as being an essential tool towards their vision of a connected living room. Prior to the XBOX One’s second E3 since launch, Microsoft has since backtracked from that vision by unbundling the peripheral from the package. Since then, Microsoft has gone on to feature various XBOX One console bundles without the peripheral–most notably a Limited Edition Call of Duty XBOX One featuring a massive 1 terabyte hard drive. Consumers will be able to purchase Kinect for the XBOX One on October 7th for $149.99. In addition to purchasing the device as a standalone product, each Kinect will come bundled with a XBOX Live Marketplace voucher code for Dance Central Spotlight.
