2K Games Have Officially Confirmed Mafia III, Set To Make It’s Worldwide Debut Next Wednesday.
“Mafia III is the next installment in the popular series known for immersing players into a world of organized crime through rich narrative storytelling and a beautifully crafted game world featuring period-accurate cars, music, and fashion,” 2K said in a statement, promising a reveal at the German Gamescon on August the 5th
The Noobist Team’s Predictions:
Mafia 3 looks set to take place in a Louisiana/ Florida setting, judging by the swamp based setting and the three alligators in the teaser, most unlike it’s predecessors which were set up in the hustle and bustle of big cities like Chicago/ San Francisco. The new game is most likely set it the 1960’s-1970’s if the cars and large Afro of the women are anything to go by.
Mafia 3 appears to be getting some co-op mode if the ominous four figures standing in the background mean anything, this would be a huge step away from the single-player “rich narrative’ of the previous titles so that’s in some doubt.
Finally, we predict that the plot will most likely involve the return of Vito Scarletta and he will most likely be finding himself high up in the Mafia, ready to invade/ conquer the enemy mob, with the Afro headed women playing a key role (If the figure kneeling is anything to go by..). As for systems, Xbox 360 and Ps3 are possible but the next gen consoles will definitely see a copy Mafia 3.
