Remember the transparent Game Boy you had growing up that was so cool because it revealed all the techno-guts of your gaming experience? No? Then you had the wrong Game Boy. Have no fear, though, because along with the release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire on Nov. 21, Nintendo will send out respective transparent red and blue models of the 2DS.
This new model is being released just a little over a year of the 2DS’s original release date. The 2DS plays all the same titles as a 3DS and DS sans the 3D feature of the 3DS and the option to fold the device closed. Taking these features away shaves off a hefty $80 from the price of a 3DS making the total for a 2DS $99.99.
The portable consoles will also be available in bundles including Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. You can pre-order all of these from the Nintendo UK store (the UK release date for these products is Nov. 28th, 2014).
