The war between Sony and Microsoft continues between the 7th and the 13th of September. Microsoft has announced that anyone who buys an Xbox One between those dates will be able to choose a game for free (within their fine print of course!)
With the Playstation 4 white bundle for the launch of Destiny coming out in mid September of this year, Microsoft has decided to try and gain some headway by letting gamers know that if they buy an Xbox One between those dates, they will be able to choose a game for free. But there is a catch.
Microsoft will give one free game to anyone who buys an Xbox One, Xbox One with Kinect, Xbox One Madden NFL 15 bundle, or Xbox One Forza Motorsport 5 bundle. The deal doesn’t apply to preorders, so any game launching later this year will not apply.
They are also banning refurbished consles or used games from the deal, and gamers must also buy the title on physical disc and its value must not exceed $59.99 before tax.
Other than those four stipulations, gamers who are buying any of those Xbox Ones, there is no pre selected list of titles that gamers are confined to – the deal covers all games titles that are available at the time of purchase however remember that the physical disc has to be $59.99 before tax or cheaper and not a preowned game.
Will it help Microsoft gain some head way from Sony? Time will tell.
