Are you a natural born engineer? Do you have experience in putting together those metal toys such as a bulldozer or crane from Nuts and Bolts? If these sort of things excite you then Poly Bridge is your game!
Unleash your engineering skills and help people cross bridges – bridges that you make! You may think, “That is awesome!” ah, but you don’t know the catch! The first catch is – you have to be an engineering genius. Well, okay maybe just a more logical minded person than myself. And the second catch is they only give you a limited amount of resources (e.g. wood, cables, road, and budget) to use in order to help people cross your bridge.
These bridges aren’t always straight forward; you may actually have to build a ramp to which these cars fly off of to get to the other side or you have
you build a bridge that splits open so a ferry can pass through.
A feature that you can have when trying to build these bridges is that you have an option to see stress points so you know where you need to strengthen your bridge; it’s a great option especially for a person like me when I go, “Why?! Why did you fail little bridge?” and then I saw where I needed to work on and was able to correct it.
Another feature which I think is excellent is that you can also build your own levels for other people to try in the Sandbox and figure out how to build the bridge; which is just as challenging as trying to figure out the already made levels. I personally had issues trying to build levels; but only because it kept glitching. I’m sure with more testing, this game will be more smoother than it currently is.
I definitely recommend this game – even though I’m more creative than logical, I can tell you that I still enjoyed playing this game. The graphics are cute and it definitely makes you think and scratch your head.
I can promise that this game is fun. What I can’t promise you is that it’ll make you more logical because that’s just well, illogical thinking!
Poly Bridge is available on Steam for £8.99 GBP/$14.00 USD. With the many levels that this game already has plus the ability to add more levels makes this game definitely worth giving a whirl!
