Body Snatching

After last week’s episode in which Sousa still seemed to show that he had feelings for Carter, had an abrupt change about when he proposed to his girlfriend. It makes one wonder if he will follow through with the wedding or he is the one that ended up marrying Peggy in the future. Both Wilkes and Frost make a discovery at the same time, which led to Carter and Jarvis witnessing some of Whitney’s abilities with the zero matter. Wilkes and Carter discovered there might be away to bring him back to the physical realm. The dead tissue sample they acquired still had a small amount of zero matter and with Wilkes absorbing it, he was able to interact with Peggy, but only briefly. The key factor they overheard was that Whitney Frost wanted to acquire an atomic bomb.

The Race is On

Frost manages to sweet talk Chadwick of the potential and power they can have if she is able to acquire the atomic bomb. She hopes to attain the same results of the testing that created the zero matter enabling her to absorb more of making her unstoppable. Frost is closing in on the deep end and even goes back to some of her old contacts, which we find out are gangsters of the unsavory sort. Some bargaining and favors you can expect in a corrupt government official, lead to Frost gaining her men to acquire the bomb.

Frost v Carter

Carter and Sousa look for a way to get the bomb before Frost. Carter goes undercover to a rival company of Stark’s to find out where the bombs are kept. She ends up you using a new gadget that that erases short term memory which introduces Dr. Samberly as part of the team after he complains his way on to it. Rose the secretary who isn’t just a secretary, is added as well despite Sousa’s protest and we have our team of heroes. The race is on as groups arrive at the bomb site within seconds of each other. The ingenuity and toughness of both newest members to the team are on display and everything looks to be going in their favor when Jarvis gets locked in the room with the bomb. Which is unfortunate as Sousa was to be the guy taking care of the bomb. Carter breaks off from the group to go tangle with Frost. Chadwick is doing his best to talk sense into Frost, but the arrival of Peggy sets her off. Carter is able to land a couple of hits, but when Frost catches her arm and attempts to use her powers, she realizes the danger she is in. A quick head butt breaks the grip but causes her to fall back. Hanging on with a hand, Carter ends up letting herself fall before Frost can get another grip on her. The downside is she has a lands in a steel rod, allowing Frost and Chadwick to scamper.

The team rushes Carter over to Sousa’s fiancé’s (who is a nurse) house. Peggy is in great pain, and the nurse takes charge even after seeing Sousa be overly worried about Carter. Carter is saved and she and Sousa share a moment only to have Sousa’s fiancé walk into the room and witness said moment. Jarvis arrives to take Peggy away when Sousa is called out on his feelings for Peggy. Talk about a 180 from the beginning of the show. Chadwick is put in his place by Frost, or so it seems, as we then see him make a call calling the council together. Wilkes and Carter are about to share a moment when Wilkes disappears, leaving Carter in shock and helplessness. Best episode this year by far and the show is just warming up. Hayley Atwell is amazing as Agent Carter and the addition of two members of the team help widen a cast you can’t help but like.
