Grimm: Cry Havoc

Shakespeare said it best when he wrote: “Cry Havoc, and let slip the dogs of war!” The season finale of Grimm was an all out war and one of the best finales of this season. Nick confronts everyone responsible for Kelly’s death, Trubel is back and more on Grimm: Cry Havoc. Spoiler alert!

The Captain Is Back

CaptainRenardThanks to Rosalee and Monroe’s magic potion, of course, Captain Sean Renard is free of the demonic spirit of Jack the Ripper. Good thing for him because the bodies were staking up around town and it would have only been a matter of time before his own precinct was on to his trail for the crimes, right? After all the only description the police had of the perp was basically a description of Renard. So, how does one throw the police off of their potential tail? Give them another body instead. Enter Prince Kenneth, King Frederick’s number one henchman and Renard’s nemesis.

Nick Avenges Kelly’s Death

Cry havoc. How apropos? It didn’t take long for Nick to figure out who was responsible for luring his mother, Kelly, to his house…and decapitating her. The only thing worse was the fact that he left her head in a box for Nick to find; which he did, of course. Once he had a minute to collect his thoughts and put together all the clues that he previously overlooked, it was only a matter of time before he realized that it was Juliette who betrayed him by working with the Royals. But things were just getting started.

A well planned meeting in an abandoned warehouse was the perfect place for Daredevil—I mean Nick—to exact revenge on his mother’s killer, Prince Kenneth. And just in case you thought he went soft, he stabbed Prince Kenneth in the throat to finish him off proving he meant business. The only thing that made the moment warm and fuzzy was his tribute when he said: “for my mother.” One down and one to go.

Down With The King

After Nick’s failed attempt to stop him, the King managed to escape with his “special” grandchild, Diana, sans her de facto babysitter, Juliette. Too bad the King was never really going to make it to his intended destination as foreshadowed by the young gifted child. Martin Meisner—from the Resistance—was on board the helicopter and back to save the day, tossing the King out to his death. The only question remains: what does the Meisner intend on doing with Diana? Will he attempt to reunite the child with her mother? We shall see.

R.I.P. Juliette

JulietteDiesThe entire finale built up to the final confrontation between Nick and former flame turned crazy, psycho hexenbiest, Juliette. Sure, Nick may have tried to choke the life out of Juliette, but as it turns out he still had a soft spot in his heart for her. Juliette, however, was out for blood and wasn’t leaving without killing Nick first. It’s a good thing fearless Trubel came in when she did and did what Nick couldn’t. Like Trubel said: “goodbye Juliette.” Too bad things couldn’t have worked out between those two, right, a Grimm and hexenbeist together? My guess is we won’t have too much time to mourn Juliette’s loss now that we know Trubel is in real trouble.   Until next season…
